Student Voices in Action

We are delighted to share a glimpse of Taken by Storm, brought to life by students at Thika Road Christian School in Nairobi. Through their performance, students engaged deeply with themes of human behaviour, responsibility, and our relationship with the natural world, sparking thoughtful reflection among both pupils and teachers alike.

It was not only a creative achievement but also hoped to generate a new approach to education. Notably, this performance also forms part of the narrative within The Farm, the third book in The Woodland Sprite Series, reflecting the living dialogue between storytelling and real-world experience at the heart of the initiative.

It is a powerful example of storytelling in action, where creativity meets climate awareness and encourages thoughtful reflection on our shared responsibility for the natural world.

We warmly commend all those who took part.

The winners of this year’s DCCI School Awards will be announced at our launch event on 20 May at the École Européenne de Bruxelles–Argenteuil.

Tickets for the event are now available on our website.
