Founded in 2020, Go Forest offers accessible and transparent solutions to restore nature through impactful tree planting.
Our mission is clear: to regenerate ecosystems and support communities by planting the right trees in the right places, always with long-term resilience in mind.
Our climate project experts carefully select and monitor reforestation and agroforestry initiatives across the globe.
In each project, we collaborate with local communities to maximize positive outcomes for biodiversity, carbon storage, livelihoods and the local economy.
We don’t just plant trees, we ensure they survive, thrive and continue to benefit their environment for generations to come.
Each project has its own unique story, learn more about the specific projects through our website or impact dashboards: https://www.go-impact.be/en/projects
Project example: Reviving Mangroves in Madagascar
In the northwest of Madagascar, the mangrove forests of Bombetoka Bay once thrived as a cradle of biodiversity and a lifeline for coastal communities. These unique ecosystems shelter wildlife, protect shorelines from erosion and support food production for local communities. But years of degradation have left many areas bare, threatening both nature and livelihoods. Together with our partner Bôndy, Go Forest is helping to breathe life back into these coastal forests. In villages like Maromiandra and Belobaka, local communities are planting mangrove seedlings. The mangroves offer spawning grounds for shrimp, crabs and fish, and their return means renewed food security and economic opportunity for families who depend on the sea.
This project is more than reforestation. It’s about reconnecting communities with their environment, strengthening the bond between people and nature and ensuring that future generations inherit a coastline that’s rich, resilient and alive.
